Examples of the QB3 in use for Medical Manufacturing:
The QB3 is being used to leak test I.V. bags. In this application the QB3 supplies positive pressure to inflate the I.V. bag with nitrogen to detect any leaks. To evacuate the unit of nitrogen, vacuum pressure is applied and then the bag is filled with I.V. fluid.
In a typical medical tube extrusion application, material is drawn through a heater at varying speeds to determine pliability. While the tubing is pliable, the QB3 applies positive pressure to the inside of the tubing to control the I.D. and O.D. of the tubing.
